Surprising Vegan: Cereal

Loading

This was one of the most surprising collages I’ve made for this series, because I was expecting not to be as surprised as I was at what I found!

There were a lot of cereals I found that I initially almost wrote-off without even checking their ingredient’s list, because I thought, ‘no way this would be vegan’. But, I’m proud to announce, I was pleasantly surprised!

Also! There are literally millions of different kinds of cereals out there, so I want to say this upfront: This is not an exhaustive list! This list is only for the most popular cereals in Canada. (Where I live)

I always encourage you guys to read the ingredients in your own country because often ingredients differ depending on the country the product is being sold in and/or, if I’m missing any of your favourite kinds.

Starting in the top-left corner, moving clockwise:

I can tell you one of the cereals I was most surprised by was the Resse’s Puffs!

I remember when those had come out and everyone was talking about them, I checked the box (because I was still child-aged enough to think it was cool) and was disappointed to see it had milk in it. But wasn’t too surprised, because the Reese’s Cups contain milk.

What about you? Are you surprised to learn any of the above cereals are vegan? Let me know in the comments!
