Sam x Jess

“I don’t like this.”

“Of course you don’t,” Jess smirked down at the giant before swinging her leg over the top of the fence, beginning to climb down the opposite side.

Sam shifted his weight nervously from one foot to the other, starring up at her from the ground, “I just don’t understand why we can’t go somewhere else.” His eyes drifted to the No Trespassing sign that was hanging a few feet away, “Somewhere a little less… trespass-y.”

Jess rolled her eyes, “Will you quit being such a wuss and start climbing?”

“I’m not being a wuss!”

She gave him a pointed look, “If you hurried up, there’d be less of a chance of us getting caught, y’know.”

Sam crossed his arms over his chest, taking a look around the deserted road, “I just don’t want us to get in trouble.” He lunged forward as her hand slipped and she slid down the fence a few feet, “Or hurt.”

“I’m fine.” She waved a dismissive hand at him and continued to climb down the fence, more slowly than before. “Come on Sam,” she paused as she was more or less eye-level with the giant, wiggling her eyebrows at him from between the chain links, “Come be bad with me.”

Sam rubbed a hand at the back of his neck, letting out a sigh, “Jess-”

“Fine,” She jumped the remaining distance, landing easily on the ground, wiping her hands across her jeans, “You wait here then. I’ll be back in an hour.”

“Wha…? Jess, come on.”

“No, you come on.” She took a step closer to the fence, anger clouding her expression, “I didn’t come all the way out here just to let a fence stop me.” She turned on her heal, beginning to walk away.

“Jess!” He watched as she walked away, nearly disappearing into the sunset, fuck.

He starred up at the fence for a moment, before shaking his head, she can’t go alone. Taking in a deep breath, he started up the fence, hoping to whoever was up there that this airport didn’t have any hidden security cameras. If you get us arrested on the night I’m gonna propose, I swear to God…

Sam x Jess

“Why can’t you just-” Sam cut himself off, closing his eyes as he took in a deep breath, don’t say something you’ll regret.

“Whoa, calm down, Texas.” Jess unfolded her arms and took a step toward the giant, “It was just a salt and burn, nothing I couldn’t handle.”

“That’s not the point.” The giant let her guide him down to the couch, “You shouldn’t be hunting alone.”

“Pfft, what?” Jess gave him an incredulous look, “So you get to go out on hunts alone, and I can’t go out at all?” At the giants’ semi-nod, she raised an eyebrow at him, “You better be joking.”

“Well… it’s not…. I mean, you’re not, y’know….” he let his voice trail off, casting his gaze down, how can I make you understand?

“Not what, Sam? A guy?” She scoffed, “Good luck making that argument to Ellen. Or Jody.”

He was shaking his head, getting up off the couch, “No, that’s not… they’re different -”

“So… what?” Jess followed him up, re-crossing her arms over her chest, “I can’t hunt because I don’t have anyone close to me who’s been killed by a monster?”

SamxJess

“In Canada they celebrate Thanksgiving in October,” she shrugged, taking the seat beside him, “so I thought maybe we could make that our tradition.”

Sam tore his eyes away from the food to look up at the blonde, confusion still evident on his face, “But… what are we gonna celebrate in November?”

Jess’ smile slightly faded at the question, “Y-you don’t know?”

She sighed in disappointment as his face stayed the same, holding her head in her hands, “You’re right,” she stood, grabbing one of the dishes from the table, “This was a stupid idea.”

“Whoa, hey,” he stood, taking the dish, searching her eyes, “What’d I do?”

She studied his face, impatience growing, “You really can’t think of anything important in November? No important dates come to mind?”

Sam blinked in surprise before thinking, chewing his lip slightly as he did so, before shaking his head, “No, not really. Why?”

Jess rolled her eyes, stealing the dish back, “Oh, great. Good to know I mean nothing,” she stomped away into the kitchen.

“Whoa, what?” He followed her through the door, and she could feel his eyes on her back as she faced the counter, “What are you talking about?”

She took a deep breath before turning back to face him, “Our anniversary is in November, dumb-ass.”

Sam chuckled, “Oh.”

Sam x Jess, Dean x Jo, 2018’s Valentine’s fic

Both girls jumped as a phone started ringing. Jo dug it out of her pocket and checked the ID, “It says Unknown.”

Jess jumped on the couch beside her friend, “That’s probably Sam! Answer it!”

“What? No way, what if it’s someone else?”

Jess rolled her eyes and snatched the phone from her hands, dancing away as she grabbed for it, “Jo’s phone, who’s speaking?”

“Jess,” she hissed and stood, following her into the hall, “give me the phone!”

Her roommate held up a finger as she listened, “A party? Tonight?”

“Don’t you dare,” Jo narrowed her eyes.

“She’d love to come!”

Jo balled her hands into fists, she lunged forward, nearly falling over as Jess made a bee-line for the bedroom.

“Jess!” She tried the knob, huffing when it didn’t open.

“What? Oh, nothing, I just have the T.V. on.”

Jo smacked the door, uselessly, “C’mon!”

“We look forward to seeing you too. Alright, bye.”

The bedroom door opened to reveal Jess, grinning ear to ear.

“I’m gonna kill you.”

She tossed the phone back to her roommate, and made her way back to the living room, “You’re welcome.”

“Why did you do that?”

“Oh, relax,” she sat on the couch, “If anything, I did you a favour. Now you don’t have to go through all that awkward first date talk.”

“I don’t want to go to a party!” Jo flopped down on the couch, crossing her arms, dropping her voice, “Especially tonight.”

Jess’ expression softened, “Hey, I know it’s been hard on you since Rob left, but c’mon, tomorrows Valentine’s Day. You owe it to yourself to not wake up alone.”

“Exactly, Rob left,” she crossed her arms, “Why can’t you just leave me to watch rom-coms and eat Ben and Jerry’s out of the tub like a normal person?”

Jess rolled her eyes, “Will you quit being so dramatic? It’ll be fun. Besides,” she reached under the couch, holding up the silver knife, raising an eyebrow, “You’re anything but normal.”

“I hate to say it Jess, but it’s been over an hour. I don’t think he’s coming.”

“Eat your pizza,” she was pacing in front of the door, chewing her bottom lip, he seemed so nice. Why would he stand me up?

“Jess, come eat with us,” Molly patted the spot next to her on the floor, “you’re gonna chew your whole lip off if you keep pacing.”

She checked her watch again before reluctantly going to sit with her friends.

They all clapped as she sat down, “Oh, haha, very funny,” she grabbed for the pizza box and hit play on the movie that was waiting, “let’s get this started.”

“She didn’t give you any information?”

Sam huffed at his phone, “Don’t you think if she told me anything that I’d be at her place instead of calling you?”

“Okay, okay, geez, no need to get snarky. Do you remember where she was parked? If she was just moving in, she’d probably be close to the building.”

The brunette ran a hand through his hair, “I don’t know man, she was parked outside the main office. What am I gonna do, Brady? She’s gonna think I flaked on her.”

“Calm down, just explain the next time you see her.”

“I might never see her again,” he started heading back toward his dorm, “Do you know how many blondes go here?”

“Sorry man, but I gotta go. A friend promised me free pizza for helping them move, and I’d actually like to get to eat some of it this time.”

Sam sighed and ran his free hand through his hair, “Yeah, alright. Have fun.”

“Thanks man, and good luck.”
