Prompt: Bacon Lover’s Day

“Whatcha doing, Dean?”

The blonde half-turned, gesturing to the radio and his cell, “What’s it look like?”

Sam resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he plopped down into a chair, “Good luck.”

“Pfft, please. I don’t nee- sh!”

Dean held his free hand out to hush the giant as Connor took his shot.

“Uh, is it Boys Are Back In Town by Twisted Sister?”

“Yes!” Dean spun around on the spot, wide smile splitting his face, “I knew you were a moron, Connor!”

General, Funny

Prompt: Ice Cream Month

“What did you call this, again?”

“Ice cream.” Dean slid the bowl across the kitchen island, unable to help but smile at the confused head tilt of his recently exed-angel. “It’s good.”

Cas inspected the dessert with the intensity he usually glared down suspects with. It wasn’t until the blonde put the tub back in the freezer and spun around with his own bowl that he even attempted to pick up the spoon.

Dean noticed his face and raised an eyebrow, “It’s not gonna bite you, Cas.”

“That would be improbable.”

The blonde rolled his eyes as he picked up his own spoon. He did his best to ignore the staring as he scooped some ice cream up and brought it to his mouth. He had to avert his gaze to the counter as he chewed. Cas may have been human now, but he had yet to perfect relaxing.

Or blinking.

After he swallowed, he gave him a tight smile, “See? It’s fine.” He nodded to the bowl sitting across from him, “Now eat it before it melts.”

Cas nodded at that and straightened his posture as he reached for his spoon. With far too much concentration, he picked it up, scooping a bit of the dessert into it before he raised it to his mouth.

He hesitated as he held it up, prompting Dean to slam a hand on the counter. “Just put it in your mouth!”

The ex-angel wasted no more time and shoved the spoon in his mouth. His eyes glazed over as he lapsed into thought, mindlessly staring at the wall. The blonde shook his head at the seriousness, it’s just ice cream. Not like he’s hunting down a vamp nest. He leaned down so one of his arms was resting on the counter before tucking into his own bowl.

Dean continued eating in silence, Cas seeming to be stuck on whether or not he enjoyed the dessert. He kept flicking his eyes up every few spoonfuls to see if the ex-angel’s demeanour had changed. It wasn’t until a few minutes later when Dean was scooping up the last of his snack that the raven-haired man came back to the moment.

His semi-wild eyes scanned the room before they landed on the blonde.

After another moment of silence passed, Dean raised an eyebrow at the intense stare, “Well?”

“I like it.”

C2C, General

Prompt: Mojito Day (July 11th)

“We are having a proper vacation day.”

“What?”

“No complaining.” He poured half the blender contents into a tall glass before dropping a crazy straw into it. He then carefully balanced what the giant was really hoping was a type of herb and not a random leaf from out the bunker’s front door between it and the rim before sliding it over to the table. “You’re welcome.”

“Uh…” Sam couldn’t help raising an eyebrow at the concoction in front of him, “What is it?”

“It’s a drink, Sammy.”

“Yeah, I can see that.” The giant rolled his eyes as his brother made his way back toward the counter, “I meant what kind of drink is it?”

“A Mojito.”

Sam barked out a laugh at that. His laughter died down as he watched the blonde flick the towel he was holding up onto his shoulder before crossing his arms over his chest, “Seriously?”

“You got a problem with that?”

“No, no, no problem,” Sam held his hands up in mock surrender before turning back to the cocktail in front of him, “Is it…” He frowned, tilting his head to one side as he stared at the glass, “Are you sure it’s a Mojito?”

The narrowed eyes from his brother was all the reply the giant needed before he reached for the glass. He let out a breath as he brought the drink up to his face, I don’t think they’re supposed to be red…

Destiel (Implied), Dark-ish

Prompt: Picnic Day

“Have I taught you about shot-gunning yet?”

“…The car game?”

“No, not the car game.” Dean shook his head as he grabbed the other juice box, “Well, you’re gonna learn today. Okay?”

All trace of her tears were gone as she enthusiastically nodded, “Okay!”

“Okay, so first,” He punctured his own juice box, before placing his knife down, “you stab a hole in the drink.”

“Okay…”

“Next is the fun part. You chug it down as fast as you can and try to beat the other guy.” Dean picked his juice box up, raising an eyebrow, “Wanna try?”

“Try? Pfft, please.” Taylor grabbed one of the juice boxes, giving the blonde a mischievous grin, “I’ll beat you.”

“Oh, you think so, eh?” Dean shook his head, “I wouldn’t be so sure about that, Sweetheart. I’ve been shot-gunning drinks a lot longer than you.”

“True, but you’re like a billion,” A smirk pulled at the corner of her mouth at the offended look, “I’m young.”

Dean couldn’t help but smile at her logic, “Alright, Ms. Cocky. Does that mean you’re ready?”

She hunched forward, fingers twitching around the sides of the drink, face growing serious, “Ready.”

Dean snaked a hand around his own drink, unable to help but smile at her intensity. He took in a big breath and lifted the box, “Go!”

“No fair!” Taylor fumbled for a minute before bringing her juice box up to her mouth, messily chugging down the purple liquid.

She tilted her head in an attempt to keep an eye on her competition, effectively spilling more of the quick-staining liquid onto her dress.

Dean flicked his eyes over to her as he swallowed for the first time and resisted the urge to shake his head, Cas is gonna kill me.

“Oh my God!”

Dean’s head whipped up at the startled cry from in front of them and lowered his juice box as he saw a soccer mom whip out her phone, eyes transfixed on the knife that was laying beside him.

“No, wait!” Dean fell over himself as he attempted to stand, “It’s not what it looks like.”

Dean x Reader, Fluff

Prompt: Rocky Road Ice Cream Day

Doing your best to ignore your uterus’s protest at the movement, you carefully make your way over to your bedroom door, which you had thankfully closed. You raise an eyebrow and look down at your abdomen as you feel your stomach turn, are you serious? Right now?

Your stomach let’s out an angry grumble and you feel the too familiar push in your intestines. Fine, fine! You clench your cheeks closed as you not-so-carefully run across the hall from your bedroom to the bathroom, I’m not shitting myself just to not-die.

You barely make it onto the toilet before the contents of your somehow-full-stomach-despite-not-eating-anything-all-day stomach push their way out of you. You can’t help but groan in pain as the extra squeezing makes your cramps worsen.

Your hair falls onto your face as you lean forward, forcing yourself to take in some deep mouth-breaths as a wave of dizziness hits you. You’re okay, you’re okay, you’re okay. Just breathe… he’s gonna have to brave the smell if he wants to murder you.

You let out a breathy chuckle at your own terrible joke before freezing as you hear a knock on the door, shit.

A moment of silence passes, before you see the doorknob start to turn, oh come on! He’s really that determined?

Having nowhere left to go, you hang your head and shut your eyes as bathroom door swings open.

“Uh…”

Oh God, no. You feel your face flush as you hear Dean’s voice. You squeeze your eyes shut harder and pray this is just some sort of twisted period-induced nightmare.

After another moment of silence, you crack an eye open and turn to look at the bathroom door, which is closed.

Wait… what?

C2C, Hallucifer

Prompt: Devil’s Food Cake Day

“Dean?” Sam rounded the corner of the bunker’s kitchen, letting out a defeated sigh as he saw it was empty, of course.

The giant scrubbed a hand down his face as he entered the kitchen, stomach grumbling, you better be more careful than last time. We do not need another crazed stripper trying to break in. He pulled the fridge open, eyes stopping on the devil’s food cake that was on the shelf, when did this get here?

He carefully pulled the cake out, brows knitting together in confusion as he placed it on the counter. Once his initial confusion subsided, he noticed the sticky note that was stuck to the side of the plate. He brought the note up to his face, eyebrows rising in surprise as he read it.

Told ya I wouldn’t forget this year. Happy birthday, Sammy.

Your Awesome Older Bro

Sam stared at the note in disbelief, jaw agape. He baked me a cake to get out of doing research? That’s…new. His eyes slid off the note toward the cake, stomach letting out another loud grumble.

The giant took a quick look around the kitchen, before a guilty smile split his face, maybe just one piece…

“Oh my God!” Sam pushed the half-finished cake across the kitchen table, sinking back against his chair, where the hell did you learn to bake like that? He momentarily closed his eyes, licking the icing from the corners of his mouth.

His fingers subconsciously relaxed around the fork, making it hit the table with a soft clink. Sam opened his eyes and stared at the half-eaten treat in front of him, stomach gurgling, I’ll throw up if I eat more.

Prompt: Hoagie Day (May 4th)

“I’ll have a hoagie with everything on it, and a beer.”

“Beer?” Shelly’s smile faltered at that and she shot a look over her shoulder to the clock that was hanging behind the cash register, “It’s 11am.”

Dean leaned back against the booth and gave her a shrug, “We work nights.”

Shelly raised an eyebrow, “Think you can keep it a secret if I sneak you a beer?”

“Pfft, please,” Dean winked at her, straightening back up, “Secret’s my middle name.”

The blonde licked her lips at that before turning to walk away. Sam let out a scoff as she made her way toward the kitchen, “Thanks a lot.”

Dean didn’t tear his eyes away from her behind, “What?”

Sam shook his head before leaning across the table, “Dude, you have got to stop getting distracted.”

“I’m not distracted.” At the look, the blonde held up his hands, “What? The job’s done, we’re leaving tomorrow. Until then…”

“We’re not done.”

“The ashes of the vamp nest would beg to differ.”

Sam rolled his eyes before lowering his voice, “We finished the job in town, but you know as well as I do this wasn’t a one off nest acting up. It’s… bigger than that.”

“Bigger how?”

“How should I know?” Sam leaned back against the booth, letting out a breath, “That’s why we need to research.”

“Okay, fine.” Dean scrubbed a hand down his face, “Why don’t you go back to the motel and get started, and I’ll…

Prompt: Beer Day

Dean sidled up to the bar, sliding his arm onto the wood as he plopped himself down on the closest stool, “Can I get a beer?”

The bartender raised her eyebrows but nodded at the request. After spinning around to grab a whiskey bottle, she placed two shot glasses in front of the blonde. At his questioning look, she gave a half-shrug, “You look like you needed something stronger.”

He let out a small chuckle at that and reached for the first shot, “You may be right about that.”

He tossed it back, hissing as he swallowed before turning the glass upside down. She pushed the second glass forward before placing the bottle down, resting her one hand on the bar, “Well?”

“Well, what?”

“You gonna tell me what’s got you so…” She let her voice trail off as she gave him a purposeful once over.

Dean shook his head as he reached for the second shot, “You wouldn’t believe me.”

She raised an eyebrow at that before flipping the first glass over to refill, “I doubt it. I’ve seen some crap that would make most people run screaming.”

“Yeah, well I’m not most people.”

“No?” The corner of her mouth turned up as she slid the freshly filled shot glass back over, “Tell you what. I’ll keep refilling your shots – for free – if you tell me what’s got you so bummed.”

Dean caught the glass, finally giving the redhead a once over, before his signature thousand-watt smile lit up his features, “Deal.”

Prompt: Frozen Food Month

“What happened to recon only?”

Dean wheezed out a chuckle at that as he attempted to pry his blood soaked jacket off, “Ugh, don’t make me laugh.”

Sam shook his head as the peeled back jacket revealed a not-quite-gushing stab wound, “No, seriously, what the hell happened?”

“Well,” Dean winced as his brother pressed the gauze to the wound, adjusting his sitting position to give him a better angle, “I finally understand what Chuck meant when he said he took away our plot armour.”

“What?”

“They heard the Impala, Sammy. From like… four blocks away.” Dean shook his head, momentarily closing his eyes, “It was an ambush.”

Sam’s eyebrows rose and he let out a low whistle, “Damn.”

“Yeah.” The blonde swatted his brother’s hands away just as he grabbed the sewing needle.

“Dean-”

“It’s fine.” The eldest got himself up from the chair, stumbling over toward the fridge.

The youngest rolled his eyes, “I could’ve got you a beer.”

“Yes?” A breathless Cas ripped the door open then, giant smile on his face fading to confusion as he spotted the blonde, “What are you doing here?”

Dean plastered his signature thousand-watt smile on his face and did his best to ignore the stab to his heart at the tone, “It’s Friday.”

“Yeah…so?”

“So, I’m here to pick up the twins.” The pit in his stomach started to grow as he took in the lack of understanding on the angel’s face, “Y’know… like we agreed?”

Cas let out a defeated sigh, “Lydia didn’t call you?”

“I don’t know, I was on a job and haven’t…” Dean let his voice trail off as the confusion on Cas’ face slowly gave way to pity, “What happened?”

“Dean-”

“They’re still coming with me, aren’t they?”

The angel let out another huff, lowering his eyes to the ground.

“Are you serious?” Dean’s hand balled into a fist in his pocket, “Tell me you’re joking.”

At the small head shake, Dean let out a humourless chuckle, “That’s great. Awesome, Cas, thanks.” He scrubbed a hand down his face, “Fine, fine. I guess I’ll just come back next week and then we can-”

“No, Dean.” Cas shook his head again, “You’re not seeing them next week, either.”
